In Newham, East London, KC+A has received planning approval for a project that proposes 11 new homes on a disused corner site on Romford Road.
KC+A’s efficient use of the narrow site will create new affordable family homes. Meanwhile, the design positively responds to the corner setting and establishes a human scale. The façade is animated by deep window reveals and metal balconies, with brick detailing to provide texture. Furthermore, new planted hedgerows and a low perimeter brick walls will give the streetscape a lift.
